Chyna Thomas: The Tragic Loss
Chyna Thomas is Boston Celtics PG Isaiah Thomas' sister. April 16th was the day that the Thomas family was struck with this tragic news. Chyna was in a 1 car crash on the highways of Tacoma, WA; needless to say his came at a bad time, right before the playoffs. Isaiah decided to play in every playoff game despite this. During Game 1 of round 1 earlier in April, he had tears running down his cheek from tip-off to the final buzzer, a heartbreaking experience to watch. This man remained strong through it all, showing just how tough of a player he was off and on the court. He played in both Games at home which the Celtics lost both, and then he traveled to Tacoma to be with Family, he then went to Chicago to play in games 3 and 4 for his team. This is crazy to think that he did this. Those 2 in Chicago the Celtics won. He was not alone. Many NBA players from around the association comforted him via twitter. Rudy Gobert and JR Smith to name a few. Also, long life friend and teammate Avery Bradley keeping Thomas' spirits up and focused on that series. Then on May 2nd, it was Chyna's birthday. The Celtics were playing game 2 of the 2nd round in Boston at home. Isaiah played the game of his life dropping 53 on the Wizards! The Celtics ended up winning 129-119 in overtime.
